About
Rescue Angels UK is a network of volunteers from across the UK who give their time to source suitable rescue placements for vulnerable and surrendered dogs and fundraise for the professional transportation into the rescues’ care
The rescues provide the dogs with any medical needs and then go on to find them the loving homes they deserve.
Without our help many of these dogs’ lives would be at risk.
We do not pay for these dogs and we do not sell them.
We simply raise money to collect them, arrange appropriate rescue placements, and transport them into their care.
As a not-for-profit organisation, our members give their time to help fundraise to cover the cost of safe transport of these dogs and also provide foster care for the rescues.

Why our work matters
Often the dogs that we collect are exhausted and confused. Some need urgent medical care, are frightened, or unsure of human contact.
These dogs are not broken. They are survivors.
With the right care, patience and love, they can begin to heal. They can learn to trust. They can experience comfort, safety and eventually a loving forever home.
Rescue Angels exists to help make that happen.
Working with rescues and foster carers
We cannot do this work alone.
We work with a UK network of incredible vets, professional transporters, volunteers, fundraisers, foster carers and supporters who share our commitment to animal welfare.
When a rescue is able to offer a space, we help arrange the safe movement of surrendered dogs (and sometimes cats) into their care. The rescues do not charge for their services and provide life-long return backup for the dogs and cats.
Sometimes we can offer rescues additional support through our experienced team of volunteer fosterers who help the dogs learn about living in a home environment. If appropriate they will help with the dogs’ rehabilitation and teach them things like toilet training and walking on a lead. Many will cover the cost of the dog or cat’s food during this period.
Working together our Rescue Angels members create a pathway from uncertainty to safety and love.
How you can help?
As volunteers we do not get paid. Your donation will go directly towards our work in giving surrendered dogs and cats the route to a safe and loving future.
Without donations some of the lives of the animals that we are asked to help will be at risk.
